Two weeks into the Major League Soccer season, and the Ides of March have forced a bevy of draws across the board. This week, Toronto FC hit the top of the MLS Power Rankings after a massive victory over Seattle. Also moving up are Philadelphia and Houston. Let’s take a look.

1. Toronto FC

Hello, Jermain Defoe. The former Tottenham Hotspur hitman introduced himself to the league with a brace (17′, 24′) to lead Ryan Nelsen’s Toronto FC to a massive 2-1 victory over the Seattle Sounders at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Wash. Toronto host D.C. United on Mar. 22 at BMO Field in Toronto, Ont. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET and will be televised by TSN.
