2014 NFL Draft Rumors: Teddy Bridgewater's Pro Day deemed 'average'

Pro Day’s are built for quarterbacks who almost always complete the process with flying colors.

That apparently wasn’t the case for Teddy Bridgewater though who apparently scuffled through his Louisville Pro Day for NFL scouts on Monday morning.

Bridgewater, who reportedly has been talking to the Minnesota Vikings brass in recent days clocked a solid 40 time but Mike Mayock, who watched Bridgewater’s work out suggested that his day was nothing more than ‘average’:

Mike Mayock on Teddy Bridgewater at Louisville Pro Day: “Most QBs have good Pro Days. Today, I thought it was very average at best.”

Of course, that’s just one opinion and one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Still, you’d hope to get a few more glowing reviews from Bridgewater’s Pro Day.

Average Pro Day or not, Bridgewater is still among the elite available quarterbacks and shouldn’t struggle to find himself selected during the first few picks of the 2014 NFL Draft.

I only saw him play one full game last year (in which he incidentally lost to UCF’s Bortles) but I was not impressed…to me his game does not project well to the NFL. I’ve been stunned by everyone in the media calling him NFL ready…and even the “consensus” top QB…I completely disagree…and I have a suspicion the NFL scouts have issues too..
