Teddy Bridgewater is one of the top signal-callers in the 2014 NFL Draft class and he was the focus of scouts at the Louisville Cardinals Pro Day on Monday morning. Bridgewater kicked off his workout weighing in at 208 pounds.
Bridgewater’s weight immediately created a discussion on social media, after the number was six pounds down from his recorded weight at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Of course, many players drop weight so they can run a faster time in the 40-yard dash, which may have been Bridgewater’s ultimate goal.
When he completed his first attempt in the 40, Bridgewater clocked a solid 4.78.
Instead of taking a second run, Bridgewater stood on the time from his first 40-yard dash attempt and decided not to run again.
Bridgewater has already met with the Minnesota Vikings and there are other teams at the top of the draft who are expected to show interest, and the athleticism that Bridgewater showed during his Pro Day will certainly catch some team’s attention.
