Braves' Brandon Beachy to see second specialist

The second pitcher of Dr. James Andrews’ three visitors has the results from his meeting.

The results for Brandon Beachy, according to Chris Cotillo, were inconclusive. As a result, the 27-year old righty will go and see a second specialist, Dr. El Attrache in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Beachy departed his most recent Spring Training start on March 14th with biceps tightness. It is feared that he will need to undergo Tommy John surgery. Rotation-mate Kris Medlen is already expected to undergo the season-ending surgery.

Earlier in the same day, Athletics’ pitcher Jarrod Parker had visited with Dr. Andrews. Parker will undergo Tommy John surgery and will not pitch in 2014.
