College basketball rankings: Final AP poll released; Florida sits at the top

With all of the conference tournaments now in the books, and Selection Sunday over, it’s now time to get set for the 2014 NCAA Tournament. Before that gets underway, however, the Associated Press has released the final Top 25 rankings for the 2013-14 college basketball season before the national champion gets crowned.

In a surprise to none, the Florida Gators sit at the top of the rankings to end the season after they were able to hold off the Kentucky Wildcats on Sunday and keep their amazing streak alive to capture the 2014 SEC Tournament Championship.

The Villanova Wildcats were not so fortunate, as they dropped from no. 3 to no. 6 after they were unceremoniously ejected from the Big East Tournament at the hands of Seton Hall last week.

Here’s a look at the Top 10 to finish out the season.
