Indiana Hoosiers decline CBI invitation

Rejected from this year’s NIT, the Indiana Hoosiers had the option of paying to play in the CBI, a tertiary tournament most people don’t know (or care) exists. Indiana rejected the offer, though, choosing to terminate the season rather than suffer the disgrace of playing in such a lame tournament.

Per the Indianapolis Star:

Indiana Director of Athletics Fred Glass confirmed that decision to The Star on Sunday night.

“Finances wouldn’t be an issue if we thought it made sense,” Glass told The Star. “But we’re Indiana. We don’t play in the CBI.”

Take that, CBI! Nobody likes you!
