The Denver Broncos backed the Brinks truck up to free agents this offseason, meaning some of their own free agents are likely to depart. One such name is Robert Ayers, who is scheduled to meet with the Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday afternoon.

"Free agent DE Robert Ayers will visit the Bengals tomorrow, source says."

The Bengals lost defensive end Michael Johnson to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in free agency, but there’s little reason for concern for the Bengals who have plenty of depth available to replace Johnson.

That said, Ayers would be a solid addition to an already stout Bengals front though would likely be nothing more than a rotational rusher given the depth of the Bengals who already have Carlos Dunlap, Robert Geathers, Wallace Gilberry and Margus Hunt.

There’s been no mention of any contractual details at this point though it’s hard to imagine that Ayers won’t get other offers as teams will likely attempt to lure him with more playing time and/or heftier deals.

The 28-year-old veteran registered a career high in sacks during the 2013 season with 5.5 takedowns.
