Philadelphia Phillies acquire Koyie Hill from Washington Nationals

The Philadelphia Phillies added some depth to their roster on Monday, acquiring catcher Koyie Hill in a trade with the Washington Nationals.

Jim Salisbury of CSN Philly lays out the terms of the deal:

Hill, a 10-year veteran who has spent time with the Cubs, Diamondbacks, Dodgers and Marlins, will provide backup depth at the upper levels of the minors.”

Hill, 35 years old, has spent most of his career as a journeyman in the minor leagues. It appears that he will also be in the minors for the Phillies. Last season he appeared in 18 games for the Miami Marlins. He is a career .206 hitter.
