The Houston Astros big free agent acquisition will end up opening the season for the club.
Scott Feldman signed with the Astros as a free agent for 3-years and $30 million. He is expected to anchor the young rotation in Houston and has been officially announced as the Opening Day starter as the Astros take on the Yankees on April 1st from Minute Maid Park.
Last season, between the Cubs and Orioles, Feldman made 30 starts, posting a 12-12 record with a 3.86 record. He is no stranger to the state of Texas, having pitched in the Rangers organization for eight seasons, earning their Pitcher of the Year award in 2009, a year in which he won 17 games.
