Portland Trailblazers swingman Wesley Matthews isn’t much of a scoring machine or a defensive stopper, but the man can shoot.
One of the premier three-point shooters in the game, Matthews has been known to show off his skills prior to games during warmups and he did so again this weekend before the Blazers and Golden State Warriors hooked up.
Sitting in some of the plush courtside seats, Matthews gave the basket a quick glance and fired up a shot from his seat. Keep in mind – he wasn’t standing – he stayed seated and fired the bomb which had to be a good 40-plus feet away.
The end result? Nothing but the bottom of the net.
Given Matthews’ reaction, he didn’t seem to think he was going to make it as he was rather excited when the ball went through the net.
Unfortunately he appeared to be the only one as no members of his team did much nor did the early arriving crowd when the shot was made.
They hatin’, Wesley. They hatin’.
