The New York Knicks have brought former Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls head coach Phil Jackson on board in their front office, which was announced today at a press conference.

The Knicks will keep general manager Steve Mills on board to work with Jackson and aid in traveling with the team, something Jackson won’t do a lot of. While talking about Jackson coming on board, Knicks chairman James Dolan made an interesting comment.
“The two gentlemen to my left are experts in basketball. I am not an expert at basketball,” Nolan said referring to Jackson and Mills, via Sporting News.
I’m sure Knicks fans will be relieved to hear those words come out of Dolan’s mouth, something they’ve been saying for years. Knicks fans are bound to be full of approval and are hoping Jackson can do for the Knicks what former coach Pat Riley has done for the Heat in his front office role.
