'Major League' parody by Italian baseball team gets extremely racist (Video)

“Major League” is one of the more iconic sports movies of our lifetime. Forgetting some of the sequels for a second, the original incarnation of the film is still watched to this day by people of all ages, and some of the scenes in the movie will stick out in your mind forever.

Well, one of the scenes definitely stuck with an Italian baseball squad. The scene in question is where the Indians begin to get hot, and they shoot a commercial for American Express credit cards. As we know, the scene ends with Willy Mays Hayes–played by Wesley Snipes–sliding into home plate, doing a split and plugging the card.

The Italian team did recreate the scene right until the very end, it’s just when they got to Hayes’ part—things got really weird.

And really, really racist.

Okay, that was about as racist as you can get and that was not a good idea whatsoever.

The rest of it was actually pretty fantastic, but that one racist move just killed the entire vibe they had going on.
