We’re still a few weeks away from Major League Baseball’s regular season kicking off and things are already looking iffy for the Miami Marlins who are offering up 2-for-1 game tickets.
The Marlins routinely have one of the lowest average attendances in baseball – partly because they’re in Florida and there is plenty else to do – partly because they don’t have much of a history thanks to their ownership group – partly because they stink.
Actually, the latter is mostly why the Marlins aren’t exactly the biggest draw in town but we’re not even in the regular season yet and the team is already offering the special ticket price?
The coupon runs through June and only two games are excluded – the home opener (a nationally televised game, shockingly) against the Colorado Rockies and April 5th, a Friday night game against the San Diego Padres.
Why exactly that game is excluded, I have no idea, but every other date until June 3rd is available for coupon use so hopefully some parents and their children can enjoy a cheaper game together thanks to the deal.
