The Cleveland Cavaliers watched their playoff hopes take a big hit on Sunday night after losing to the Los Angeles Clippers and watching star point guard Kyrie Irving going down with an arm injury after getting tied up with Clippers star forward Blake Griffin.
There was immediately speculation from local media sources that said Irving was in danger of missing the remainder of the season and that the team was strongly considering shutting him down.
With just over one month to go until the start of the postseason, it is beginning to look more and more likely that Irving will be done.
The Cavaliers announced that Irving will miss at least two weeks as a result of a biceps strain that he suffered during the tie up with Griffin and then he will be re-evaluated. If he is not 100 percent at that time, the end of Irving’s season will likely come.
