Some weather delays held up Donald Penn this weekend as he traveled to Washington to meet with the Redskins. That may end up being a good thing for Washington, as while the weather is messing with their visitation schedules, it could help give them extra time to get a deal done with Penn.
According to Ross Jones from FOX Sports, the Redskins are going hard after signing Penn this offseason and he remains in Washington meeting with the team.
Former Bucs OT Donald Penn is still in Washington, per source. Weather delays have affected schedule. Word is they are going after him hard.

It’s unclear if Penn is interested, but you’d imagine he is. He was cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and left Oakland without a contract from the Raiders. There isn’t a ton of interest in Penn, and he may not want to leave Washington without a new paycheck secured.
The weather may be bad for Washington, but it could ultimately end up helping them land one of their top free agent targets.
