NFL Rumors: St. Louis Rams 'remain interested' in Alex Carrington

Buffalo Bills’ free agent defensive lineman Alex Carrington has been a hot topic during free agency.

The Pittsburgh Steelers brought the 26-year old in for a visit last week and he had a meeting with the Oakland Raiders over the weekend.

The Cleveland Browns and are also rumored to be interested in Carrington.

According to Jim Thomas of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the St. Louis Rams are still interested in signing Carrington.

Carrington was scheduled to visit the Rams on Monday, but according to Thomas, he has not been to St. Louis.

Carrington was originally selected by the Bills with the 72nd overall pick in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft.

The former Arkansas State star appeared in nine games as a rookie, totaling eight tackles and one sack.

He appeared in all 32 games in both 2011 and 2012, providing valuable depth for the Bills.

Last season, he played in just three games after tearing his quad tendon.
