Utah Jazz, Houston Rockets nearly fight in final seconds (Video)

It’s been said you play until the whistle blows and apparently, Utah Jazz guard John Lucas took that notion to heart.

The Jazz were in the midst of being obliterated14 by the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night – a game they lost 124-86 – but things got a little feisty with just seconds remaining in the game.

All but attempting to dribble out the clock, the Houston Rockets were standing near mid-court as benches from both teams were standing up, ready to walk off the floor. Only a few seconds remained on the game clock and that’s when Lucas struck, stealing the ball from the Rockets (who again, were trying to dribble out the clock) and attempting to take it in for a basket.

That didn’t sit well with the Rockets – namely swingman Francisco Garcia – who went after Lucas and was seen with fists up as if he was ready to get in the ring for a boxing match.

Thankfully cooler heads prevailed, but that looked to be a melee in the making for a few moments.
