Duane Ludwig out of Team Alpha Male?

Team Alpha Male, one of Mixed Martial Arts’ most prestigious camps is seemingly parting ways with it’s head coach, Duane Ludwig. Today, the Team Alpha Male twitter account posted that the team is searching for a new head coach:

Team Alpha Male, a world renowned Mixed Martial Arts team based out of Sacramento, CA is looking to fill the position of head coach. TAM will be taking applicants from around the world over the next few months and will be looking to fill the position no later than May 24th. The team is comprised of current and former UFC fighters Urijah Faber, Chad Mendes, Joseph Benevidez, Danny Castillo, TJ Dillashaw, Chris Holdsworth, Andre Fili, Paige VanZant, David Mitchell and Justin Buchholz.

Duane Ludwig, a former UFC fighter himself, took over the head coaching position at Team Alpha Male in December of 2012. Once Ludwig became the coach, the team looked better and performed better than ever before. Urijah Faber, TJ Dillashaw, Joseph Benavidez, and Chad Mendes all had a fantastic 2013 campaigns. The team also introduced TUF winner, Chris Holdsworth, and exciting prospect, Andre Fili into the UFC.

As of now there is no word as to why the team cut Ludwig loose. FanSided will keep you updated when any pertinent information is made available.
