Josh Gordon of Cleveland Browns gets jersey tattooed on back (Photo)

Many former athletes say it’s always difficult to hang up your jersey for the final time, knowing you’ll never wear those proud threads again.

The same won’t be said for Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon though, as the talented wideout decided to get his jersey tattooed on his back.

Thankfully Gordon (who was almost traded multiple times this past season) didn’t incorporate any Browns logos/colors in his most recent piece in case he doesn’t finish is career in Cleveland, but he did include his number and nameplate in the elaborate work of art.

I’m not exactly sure what is going on between the numbers here – there appears to be some women and vegetation along with some mythic/religious pieces, but it all makes for one impressive (and likely painful) piece.

All in all – pretty unique (though neat idea) to get a tattoo of your jersey on your back.

Granted, if Gordon does ever leave the Browns – be it via trade or free agency – he might have to spend a few bucks to get the number back from a new teammate, but given his salary I’m sure he can afford it.

Gordon was never “almost” traded a couple of times.
It was sports writers and their rumors that spread that crap. Browns never acknowledged and plans of trading him.
As far as his tats, it’s his body and money. He can do what he wants.
