While it looked like Michael Vick wouldn’t be heard much from until after the NFL Draft this May, it appears he’s been having a change of heart recently. As many as four teams could be interested in him with the likes of the Panthers and Rams in them ix as well, but the most major development for Vick is internal rather than external.
According to Eagles beat writer Les Bowen, Vick is starting to have a change of heart and may decide that signing on as a backup may not be such a bad option after all.
After nosing around on Mike Vick, I sense a subtle shift. Some teams passed cuz Mike wanted to start. Now he’s looking more at total picture

Vick softening his stance on only taking jobs where he’s the starter is a reflection of the depressed and quickly drying quarterback pool. Guys like Matt Cassel, Josh McCown, Chad Henne and even Brandon Weeden have found work before Vick has and none of those quarterbacks are as accomplished as Vick.
Still, he may fight his way into a starting role but he’ll have to swallow some pride first if he wants that chance.
