Western Michigan running back Dareyon Chance granted fifth year of eligibility

Western Michigan Broncos running back Dareyon Chance has been granted a fifth year of eligibility, the school announced Tuesday.

According to head coach P.J. Fleck, Chance’s leadership is one of his best qualities:

“Whatever he gives us on the field is a bonus. We brought him back for leadership.

“He’s got a lot of charisma about himself and I think a lot of the teammates really like him and they look up to him. I think what he’s done is that he’s shown that he’s such a little guy and how tough he is and he’s been able to take those shots and get in there. They see the toughness and I think that’s what we want to be able to create for this upcoming year.”

Chance has rushed for 1,858 yards and nine touchdowns during his time at WMU. He led the Broncos in rushing attempts and yardage last season.
