Interestingly enough, both men will be entering the main event bout coming off of a loss to current UFC title challenger Lyoto Machida.
Prior to his loss to Machida, Mousasi (34-4-2) had gone seven fights without a loss. Munoz (13-4), on the other hand, has lost two of his last three bouts to the men competing for the middleweight championship at UFC 173.
The winner of Munoz vs. Machida will be able to start their climb back up the 185 pound rankings as they attempt to prove they belong with the elite in the division.
