In Third Round action in the East Region on Saturday, the fourth-seeded Michigan State Spartans will take on the 12th-seeded Harvard Crimson as the festivities keep rolling on in the 2014 NCAA Tournament.
Michigan State won their Second Round game on Thursday against the Delaware Blue Hens, and they won it handily. They were led by the tremendous effort of Adreian Payne, who dropped in a team tournament record 41 points as Tom Izzo seeks another national championship.
Harvard was led to this point after they got their second tournament victory in school history, and their second opening round victory in a row by upsetting the Cincinnati Bearcats of the American Athletic Conference. Tommy Amaker continues to make strides with this program, strides they never thought they’d see, but can they take the next step?
