New Clip from the Upcoming Comedy Bad Words (Video)

We are just one week away from the release of the upcoming comedy Bad Words. In anticipation of the film’s release, a new clip has just surfaced on the internet which shows what determination, a knowledge of the rules, and a big, giant loophole can do for you.

The film stars Arrested Development star Jason Bateman as Guy Trilby, a 40 year-old man who has found a loophole in the rules of The Golden Quill national spelling bee. He decides to use this information to hijack the competition, causing all sorts of trouble along the way.

In the clip, he is confronted by two people from the school that are attempting to explain to Trilby why he cannot compete in the Spelling Bee; however, his knowledge of the rule book is pretty extensive. He can even quote subtexts from memory. It is kind of hard to imagine someone with this much dedication to the rules can find themselves unable to pass the 8th grade; especially by the time they are 40 years of age.

Here is a look at the latest clip from the upcoming film Bad Words.

The film is being directed by Jason Bateman himself. The script for the comedy was written by relatively new screenwriter Andrew Dodge.

Bad Words stars The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’s Kathryn Hahn. The film also stars Rohan Chand, Allison JanneyRachel HarrisBen FalconeJudith Hoag, and more.

Bad Words is scheduled to be released on March 28, 2014.
