2014 March Madness: Mercer player videobombs interview with robot dance after beating Duke (Video)

Annual NCAA basketball powerhouse Duke had an early exit from March Madness on Friday afternoon as Mercer (#14 seed) shocked the world with a 78-71 victory over the Blue Devils (#3 seed)

Playing a vital role in the victory was guard Anthony White Jr. who knocked down three of four free throws in the games final seconds to seal the win.

Unable to contain his excitement, White pulled out a hilarious photobomb as Mercer head coach Bob Hoffman was giving an interview to Turner Sports’ Rachel Nichols.

As the two were discussing the improbable victory, White Jr. could be seen slowly creeping into the video before busting out an epic videobomb which featured the guard doing a hilarious ‘robot’ dance.

I’m still not completely sure if the ‘videobombing’ was intentional or if he was just so happy for the win, he randomly started dancing and happened to cross paths with the broadcast camera. Regardless, it made for one hilarious moment.

Mercer will be taking on either UMASS or Tennessee depending on the outcome of that contest.
