Relief pitcher Dave Aardsma will seek employment elsewhere.
Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports that the Cleveland Indians have granted the 32-year old right hander his release after informing him that he would not be making their bullpen. It is unclear whether he will seek a major league opportunity or not.
The 8 year veteran has seen time with the Mets, Yankees, Mariners, Red Sox, White Sox, Cubs, and Giants. He served as the closer for Seattle for 2009-2010, racking up 69 saves in his time there. For his career, Aardsma has pitched in 298 games, compiling a 15-17 record with a 4.23 ERA.
