March Madness 2014: Atlanta Falcons’ Roddy White bet fan season tickets Mercer wouldn’t beat Duke

Looks like we’re going to see how much a man of his word Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White is.

The Pro Bowl talent is quite active on social media and on Tuesday made a bet with a fan, suggesting if Mercer was to somehow pull out a miraculous victory against Duke, he would give the fan season tickets on the 50-yard line.

Well, Mercer did pull off the improbable upset and now White is on the hook for those seats.

Just for sake of mind, the fan did respond to White confirming that he would take that ‘bet’.

Why exactly White felt the need to make such a bet on Duke is unknown given he attended UAB and doesn’t seem to have any ties to Duke, though, maybe he just thought of himself as a NCAA basketball aficionado.

Regardless, White lost the bet and hopefully that fan – who probably didn’t think he had any chance of winning – will be watching White suit up for the Falcons in his new season ticket seats.
