While the Michigan Wolverines and the Ohio State Buckeyes are bitter rivals on the field, both programs agree that selling beer inside their respective stadiums on gamedays is a no-no.
Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon announced early this week that the Wolverines won’t be jumping on the alcohol-selling bandwagon, and Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith expressed a similar sentiment Friday:
“I thought (Michigan AD) Dave Brandon said it well, we’re slightly different. Our people tailgate all day long. No difference to Texas, but I’m not so sure they have the same level of massive tailgating all day long.
“The reality is when you put it in the stadium you have to think about the responsibility. All that stuff goes back to you.”
You hear that, Ohio State students? Make sure to chug all your beer in the parking lot minutes before entering the stadium. That’s the safest way to drink!
