As ESPN reported Thursday, Oregon Ducks wide receiver Eric Dungy, the son of former Indianapolis Colts and Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Tony Dungy, is eyeing transfer options, with the University of South Florida rumored to be the his likeliest landing spot.
The University of South Florida is located in Dungy’s hometown of Tampa.
Oregon coach Mark Helfrich confirmed the report, saying Dungy will “always be a member of the Oregon family.”
Dungy, who is on track to graduate this spring, played sparingly during his time in Eugene, starting only two games. He recorded seven career receptions for 75 yards and one touchdown.
If Dungy indeed graduates this spring, he will be eligible to play at his new school in the fall.
