New Texas Longhorns’ head coach Charlie Strong picked up another recruit over the weekend when 4-star offensive tackle Toby Weathersby committed to the Longhorns on Saturday.
Proud to say I’m a Longhorn #hookem

“I knew what I wanted,” Weathersby told Jeff Howe of 24/7 Sports. “It’s like home. (The coaches) were fired up.”
The 6’4.5, 295-pound Weathersby is from Houston, Texas and attends Westfield High School.
Weathersby was offered by the Longhorns back in January and attended their junior day in late February. He was in Austin again on Saturday to watch the Longhorns’ first spring practice in full pads.
Weathersby is ranked as the 15th best offensive tackle prospect, the 26th best overall prospect in the state of Texas and 157th best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
Weathersby chose the Longhorns over offers from the Florida Gators, Michigan State Spartans, Oklahoma Sooners and Texas A&M Aggies, among others.
Weathersby becomes the ninth verbal commit and the third offensive lineman commit for the Longhorns in the class of 2015.
