March Madness 2014: Wichita State and Kentucky set to square off Sunday in Midwest Region

Late Friday night in the Second Round of the Midwest Region, the Kentucky Wildcats were able to hold off the Kansas State Wildcats. Earlier in the evening, the top-seeded Wichita State Shockers obliterated Cal Poly in their opening NCAA Tournament game.

With that being said, Sunday will bring upon the most anticipated game, probably of the entire season, as the undefeated Shockers will go up against John Calipari, Julius Randle and the rest of the Kentucky Wildcats.

To this point, many have shot down the validity of Wichita State’s unbeaten run, given not only the conference that they play in, but their lack of top-tier out-of-conference opponents to begin the season.

On Sunday, we’re going to find out what this team is really made of because the stage is set for undoubtedly the biggest game of this tournament thus far.

Of all the number one seeds that played their opening games, Wichita State looked the most polished, and focused by far, while Kentucky looked like the Kentucky we all expected to see all season long.

Who do you think gets the win in this monumental showdown?
