It appears the Philadelphia Eagles have had enough of mouthy wide receiver DeSean Jackson and will eventually either trade or release the wideout.

Many teams have expressed interest in Jackson, though give Jackson’s albatross of a salary and hefty cap figure, most simply can’t afford him.

One team that does have interest in Jackson are the New York Jets, but not at his current going rate, this according to Brian Costello:

"Source: Jets have interest in Eagles’ DeSean Jackson, but not at his current price. He is scheduled to make $10.25 this year. #nyj"

It’s a little difficult to know what Costello is referring to when he suggests ‘current price’. Is it his actual base salary that the Jets are concerned about? Or is it the rumored compensation of at least a third round pick, which the Eagles are said to be requesting.

Regardless, if a team is to trade for Jackson, it’s certainly going to be a hefty investment though few teams need talented wide receivers more than the New York Jets.
