It’s become nearly inevitable at this point that the Philadelphia Eagles and DeSean Jackson are going to part ways some time in the very near future. When the team drafted Jackson out of Cal, he was the most prolific wide receiver in the Pac-12 Conference. So, for his potential replacement, why not do the same thing all over again? According to NJ.com, that’s exactly what the team is looking to do as they’re pretty interested in the most prolific Pac-12 receiver from lasts season, Oregon State’s Brandin Cooks.

"According to a source close to the situation, the Eagles have expressed interest in Cooks, with head coach Chip Kelly particularly interested in the wideout. The wideout is currently slated to go in the second round."

Of course, being just a rookie, you can’t expect Cooks to come in right off the bat and light the world on fire like Jackson did last year with over 1,300 yards, but with the talent that would be surrounding him on the offensive side of the ball–coupled with Chip Kelly’s ability to put his pieces in the right positions–he might be able to fill the void just enough.

Last season, Cooks finished the year with over 1,300 yards and 24 touchdowns.
