Fox Sports parts ways with NFL announcer Brian Billick

Long time NFL announcer and analyst Brian Billick will not be returning to your home for the 2014 season, as Fox has decided to part ways with him as his contract expires. According to FoxSports, as well as The Big Lead, Billick’s contract was not renewed by the network and he will not be returning next season to call games from the booth.

Per The Big Lead:

A Fox Sports spokesman confirmed the news to The Big Lead Sunday afternoon. “We simply decided to move in a different direction. We appreciate all of Brian’s contributions over the years at Fox.”

The move means that the former Super Bowl winning coach needs to find a new job, and that could land him at a network where he’s been doing work at over the last few years. NFL Network is always looking to employ  just about anyone who used to be associated with the NFL and Billick has a history with helping out as an analyst there.

It’ unclear if he’ll land there, but one thing we do know is Billick’s time at Fox is now done.
