President Barack Obama congratulates Dayton

President Barack Obama took to Twitter on Saturday night to congratulate the Dayton Flyers on their upset win over the Syracuse Orange, shouting out forward Devin Oliver in the process:

(For those unfamiliar with the White House Twitter account, the “-bo” ending means the tweet was actually composed by Obama himself and not by a staffer or a drone.)

If you’re curious about the the mention of Oliver, MLive has you covered. Oliver and Obama met back in 2010 when Oliver was at Kalamazoo Central High School. Oliver evidently challenged Obama to a one-on-one game, which he still hopes will happen:

“I’m definitely going to tweet him back and see what’s going on,” Oliver said with a smile. “Hopefully, I can try to get a game with him.”

For what it’s worth, Obama did not pick the Flyers to beat the Ohio State Buckeyes in the opening round.
