UFC Fight Night 38 is finally upon us, and we have an exciting card to look forward to. In the main event of the evening former UFC Light Heavyweight champion, Shogun Rua, takes on former two division Pride champion, Dan Henderson, in a rematch of their thrilling UFC 139 battle.

Before the two legends square off in the main event, the UFC has an intriguing set of matchups lined up on the preliminary card. Below you will find coverage of the final two Fox Sports 1 prelims.

Will Chope and Diego Brandao were set to be the main event of the prelims, but was scrapped last minute after the UFC caught wind of Chope’s discharge from the U.S. Air Force for assaulting his wife with a knife.

Jussier Formiga vs Scott Jorgensen

Big right hand lands for Jorgensen right away. Formiga attempted a takedown, but was stuffed by Jorgensen. Both men exchanged. Jorgensen slipped and Formiga latched on to back control in brilliant fashion. Formiga sinks in a deep neck crank/rear naked choke and Jorgensen taps. Incredible performance by Jussier Formiga. On the replay it seems that Jorgensen was nailed with a headbutt, causing him to slip and ultimately give up his back. Tough way to lose.

Official Decision: Jussier Formiga defeats Scott Jorgensen by Submission (Rear naked choke) Round 1 (3:07)

Ronny Markes vs Thiago Santos

Ronny Markes was hurt immediately by a huge body kick to the liver. Markes fell to the mat and Santos landed some brutal hammerfists to force the stoppage. Huge upset by Thiago Santos, and the underdogs continue their streak tonight.

Official Decision: Thiago Santos defeats Ronny Markes by TKO (Body kick) Round 1 (0:53)
