UFC Fight Night results: Rony Jason TKO's Steven Siler quickly

The first fight of the UFC Fight Night 38 main card is a Featherweight battle between former TUF alums, Steven Siler and Rony Jason.

Rony Jason (13-4, 3-1 UFC) was the winner of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil season 1 Featherweight tournament. After winning three fights in a row to begin his UFC career, Jason tasted defeat for the first time in the Octagon when Jeremy Stephens knocked him out in just 40 seconds back in November. Tonight, he looks for a rebound victory over Steven Siler.

Stevn Siler (23-11, 5-2 UFC) was a cast member on season 14 of The Ultimate Fighter, but not many expected him to have the success he has had thus far in the UFC. After winning two in a row, Siler ran into the brick wall that is Dennis Bermudez back in November, losing the bout by unanimous decision. With both Jason and Siler desperately looking for a win, fireworks are to be expected.

Round 1: They touch gloves to start. Leg kick from Siler. Body kick as well. Lots of kicks from Siler. Big hooks from Rony Jason miss. Siler with yet another two kicks. Siler pushing up with jabs, but misses. Front kick from Siler. Big right hand from Jason hurts Siler and Jason follows up with a huge left hook that drops Siler. Quick stoppage from the referee, but Siler was definitely badly hurt. Siler was throwing an upkick while the stoppage was being made, so it seems a bit premature.

Official Decision: Rony Jason defeats Steven Siler by TKO Round 1 (1:17)
