With March coming to a close, the NFL Draft would usually be just around the corner. However, thanks to the NFL deciding to push this year’s draft back by a few weeks, we have some extra time to digest the news and rumors for each team.

The draft is just over a month away and we are still unsure of who the first overall selection will be.

It appears that the pick will come down to Jadeveon Clowney of South Carolina or one of the top quarterbacks in the draft, but the Houston Texans have yet to tip their hand. After Houston, everything is up in the air.

What prospects could be on your favorite team’s radar?

Here is a look at the latest first-round projections:

Eric Ebron in the top 10???? Wow!!!!! I’d love to see that

    • Julien Bélair

      Impossible

      • tru

I’d give him first round, not top 10.

        • Julien Bélair

At the moment I have him to the Giants. If he falls a bit he won’t pass the jets

    • Phillip

Well you actually might, Ebron to Buffalo is a legit option, that’s how many people see it, n if he does go after that it wont be long, Fiants would be scooping him up quick. Ebron has game changing ability, dudes gonna be a beast.

  • loverpoint

Why would Oakland need another QB ? After Bridgewaters Pro Day he won’t be drafted in the Top 10, he may not make the 1st round. Oakland would be better off building their defense. Mack would be a good way to start.

  • Cataclysm Bitb

The NE Pats taking a LB first round. No way. TE, DT, or DE. They do need depth at LB but not that much, except a 3rd round pick on a LB.

  • Ken Tomlin

Why do you keep having the Vikings drafting Manziel at 8!!! Does it even matter to you that the Vikings re-signed Cassel, so they do not need to draft ANY QB at 8?! Or that he does NOT fit in Norv’s scheme!! Seriously, it’s like you don’t even pay attention to all the moves that teams are making!! The ONLY QB that MIGHT be drafted in the top 10 will be Bortles!! I’m not saying he deserves it and the others don’t, but look at the moves the teams who need a QB that are in the top 10 have made!! Only the Browns have not signed a veteran ” stop-gap” QB!! No team needs to take 1 early!! C’MON MAN!!!

    • Julien Bélair

Calm down !!!! But ur right

    • Jcoleman

You sir are an IDIOT! So what they re-signed Cassel! He didn’t produce anything last year and neither did the other 2. They’ve needed a QB since the Mcnabb Signing. Don’t be dumb and think Cassel is even close to a good player because he isn’t!

      • Ken Tomlin

I NEVER said he was a good player!! Nor, did I say the Vikings won’t or don’t need a QB!! Cassel is a “bridge” QB for the Vikings, like Schaub is for Raiders, Fitzpatrick is for Texans, McCown is for Bucs!! Before you call someone an idiot, maybe you should actually READ what was written first, not what YOU believe is implied in a person’s statement!!

        • twrdh

Gotta agree with you. Vikes have a bridge QB. With only one starting caliber LB on the roster how could they pass up Anthony Barr or CJ Mosley….Oh and Jcoleman Cassel was actually pretty decent when allowed to play. he was 4-3 with one of the losses being that B.S. game in Baltimore.

          • Ken Tomlin

That was exactly my point, Cassel was not great, but he was above average. Every Viking fan knows he’s not our long term solution, but he can play well enough to get us by while we develop the QB we draft. I truly think Spielman will try to trade back into the early to mid teens(13-17). Barr/Mosley/ Dennard/(really like to see Gilbert fall to us if we trade down, but I doubt it)/Shazier. Then we can wait to pick 40 or trade back into bottom of 1st to get our QB( if there’s one there that Spielman, Zimmer/Norv wants).

          • Jcoleman

So would yall be ok with a 4-3 qb? I wouldn’t, Geno Smith won more games than that..Carr would be the best solution, Manziel is a bust and Bridgewater is over-hyped. Maybe late 1st round but somewhere in the 1st I would snag a QB or Draft Murray in the 2nd but They need to think hard because if they miss out on a good QB they aren’t going to have a great season. I see what you are saying now, sorry for the misunderstanding

          • Ken Tomlin

No problem jcoleman. I want a QB too, but I agree with you on Manziel and Bridgewater! I hope we don’t draft either one! I’d love to get Carr too! I think he’d be the best fit for Norv’s system. I don’t know how you feel about Garoppolo, but I’ve seen him play live 3 times( I’m from IL, and he was 2-1in games I saw) give him a yr or two and he could be our franchise QB for sure! If we can’t get Carr I hope we can get Garropolo. Go watch some of his games, he reminds me of Rodgers. Needed some work coming out of school, but has all the tools!

          • brian199511

Agree Carr or Garappolo at QB but Carr will be gone by Cleveland’s second 1st round pick. I would take Carr at 8 or trade down a few picks and get him. Garoppolo also might be gone by our 40th pick. Without a good QB the next 3 seasons will be a bust and AP will be gone. Defense can be had in this very deep draft in the later rounds.

      • John

The approach of the Vikes is run first, pass second. Why waste a first round pick on a QB when we desperately need a CB and LB more. Cassel has shown he can deliver, none of these QBs have. When you have players like Brandon Marshall and Calvin Johnson running all over our team its not going to matter what QB we have, we’ll lose by 20 every time. Plus our offense was ranked 19th for total YPG while our defense was 31st. So you sir are the idiot.

        • Jcoleman

You can’t win a superbowl without a good qb, Peterson can take em to the playoffs but he can’t win in the playoffs for them, you got seattle, san fran, philly, and new orleans. A running back can’t win against those teams. you can get a defense together in this draft since defense is so deep this year. what team won a superbowl with a below average qb and just by running the ball? NOBODY!!!! you have to have a qb to win in this league, the qb is the most important spot, if you knew what you were talking about you would see that 19th in offense isn’t going to win for you. they were 31st in pass defense and 16th in rush defense. draft secondary in the 2nd and 3rd, you can get good players in rounds 2-4. but without a good qb your nothing so think before you speak. i suggest you don’t reply until you name a team who recently won a championship off of a run game, and don’t say Seattle bc though Lynch was a beast Russell Wilson made some great throws to some average recievers and Denver was horrible so not just the run game that won.

          • John

I never said we didn’t need a QB, I just simply stated we need a CB, LB and even a Safety more. I agree no team can win without a good QB but do you really think the VIkes would take it all the way with a rookie in this years draft class, no way. At least Cassel has a shred of playoff experience. As for our drafts in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, how far has that ever gotten us? Chris Cook = 2nd round pick = trash, Josh Robinson = 3rd round pick = trash, Robert Blanton = 5th Round = trash, Brandon Burton = 5th Round = trash.
Notice that the Seahawks won because of their defense, not their QB. Could have had just about any half descent QB thrown in there and you would have had the same result.
Stop getting so defensive, just stating my opinion and probably what Zimmer is thinking too. Wait till the second round then draft a QB.

          • Jcoleman

With a quality rookie anything is possible especially with the weapons they have on offense. If they wait til the second they might only have Mccaron, Mettenberger, Grapollo, and Murray to pick from…Murray who is going to be good just tore an acl, so did mettenberger. So those two are out, Mccarron is going to New England, Brady wants to teach him and thats what he will get, plus he won’t be a great fit for Minnesota. Grapollo will take alot of work and time. Honestly Carr will be a good fit but so would trading up for Bortles. Bortles will be a star and someone they can immediatly plug in and win games. I just think waiting is a huge risk.I guess we shall see what happens.

          • John

Ya man, I agree. Patterson is a beast, and with Greg helping him out his potential is endless (got to see that ball into his hands better though). I see what you’re saying though. It’s basically a hit or miss kind of deal. What about trying to get another trade up deal and getting two first round picks? Unlikely but that way be can guarantee a QB and solid secondary position. We have the DE and DT positions filled. We picked Jasper Brinkley back up (which I personally didn’t understand after a mediocre year in Arizona), and have a little bit of outlook in Audie, Mauti and Hodges. It’ll be interesting to see what a new coaching staff does.

          • Jcoleman

Brinkley isn’t an every down player and thats where people go wrong with him, a couple plays a drive and he can produce alot more. Roby, Verrett, and Joyner will be there in the 2nd and they can snag them up, quality coners, granted they aren’t Dennard or Gilbert but they are a huge upgrade from what they have now. Can’t wait for the draft, these mocks mean nothing on draft day anything could happen.

          • Robert Griffin

Baltimore Won the superbowl in 2000 with one of the worst QBs ever Trent Dilfer, he did next to nothing during that game. Baltimores defense bailed them out to secure that win.

          • Jcoleman

He threw 1 td 0 ints so he didn’t have a negative effect on the team. I see your point but it’s ray lewis on D…he’s the only defensive player ever that can win a superbowl without a great offense….good point though. great research!!!!

  • Chris Schroeder

Yeah, the Texans are taking a quarterback now that they don’t have one and the Raiders are not taking a quarterback now that they have one. Not in the first round anyways. I see the Texans taking or Bortles, and the Raiders taking you either Watkins, or Mack

  • jamfed

Chargers will not select a CB in the second round. They run a zone coverage scheme and they can find a good one in the 2nd or 3rd round. PLUS, Darek Carr at #26 is way too easy and predictable, and other teams that need a QB will trade w/ San Diego @ 25 to get ahead of Cleveland to swipe car.
…in my article (#25 Chargers can Stump Browns at #26): http://boltbeat.com/2014/03/21/chargers-can-stump-browns-2014-draft/

    • Jarod Cook

I hope they do jump over the Browns and take Carr. That way the Browns don’t do something stupid and grab a QB in the early rounds.

  • Otis

I don’t think this guy pays attention to what has been going on in free agency…

  • bk

I really think that the QB’s in this draft are going to drop to the second and third rounds… With the exception of Bortles going to the Texans. The big potential difference makers: Clowney, the 3 top OT’s, Watkins, Evans, Gilbert, Ebron, Barr, and MAck will round out the top 10-11 picks…
Cleveland may take a stab at one later in Rd 1, but with the talent available then, I think they go after a DB there and take QB in rd 2… Same for JVille, Raiders, and Vikes. I think that the 4 QB’s after Bortles each have questions (Carr, Bridgeh2o, Jfootball, and Garapolo?) so I don’t think there is one that these teams cannot do without… You never know, GM’sa nd Coaches sometimes get enamored with a young QB, but, I think like last year, there will be no big rush on QB’s. Now next year? I think the QB’s coming out will be better…

  • Jcoleman

Not sold on Donald to the Cowboys. Henry Melton was just signed, George Selvie played good last year, Nick Hayden is a good player. Take Ha Ha or Calvin Pryor in the first, the a DE in the second and a LB in the 3rd. I swear if we draft another TE i’m going to be ticked off!!!!

    • Phillip

A solid FS isn’t gonna do a damn thing for your D if you have absolutely nobody to get after the QB. I wouldn’t put too much faith into a 300+ lb DT coming off a major knee injury, its easier to find capable plug n play guys on the backend in mid rounds, not as easy finding solid guys up front in mid rounds n with Dallas switching to a 4-3, it could be a major benefit putting Aaron Donald next to Melton up front.

      • Jcoleman

George Selvie had more sacks last year then Ware did. He will be a good starter for Dallas, Melton was a gamble but if he works out it will be great, if not you got Nick Hayden to go with him and he isn’t bad at all. Yes we do need a de i won’t argue but Stephen Tuitt will be available in the second, Pryor is a great safety who makes plays in the run game as well as the passing game. Even if we bulk up our D line then we have nothing to stop the pass with, Barry Church is getting better, If we put more time into Wilcox he might develop well. Heath is a bust. Carr can’t pick the ball but twice a season, Scandrick is over rated and Claiborne is the biggest bust in Dallas History! Pryor or HA HA or Donald wouldn’t be bad picks but great rookie safteys don’t come every year. As we learned when we passed on Vaccarro

  • anon76returns

The Broncos have 3 All-pro caliber OLB/DEs in Miller, Ware, and Trevathan. They have no MLB, one guard, and are going to start 3 CBs coming off injury. I don’t see them taking another OLB/DE in the first.

  • Letterman007

You pretty much have it as I see it from the Browns point of view!! I can only hope you’re right on!!!

  • GRBoomer

Manziel is not going to the Vikings. Learn Norv Turner’s offense and Air Coryell, before you post this dribble.

  • Rocket99

    HELLLLLLLL no not Clowney

  • Rocket99

The last person the Texans would draft is Clowney. I mean, out of all of the other guys, out of all of the other positions, you think that the Texans would draft CLOWNEY? Why? I mean… the answer for the Texans is either Manziel or Bortles, hopefully Bortles. Not Clowney. He’s just not worth a 1st overall pick.
