Dayton Flyers head coach Archie Miller receives contract extension

The Dayton Flyers awarded head coach Archie Miller with a contract extension Monday. Under the terms of the new deal, Miller will coach the Flyers through the 2018-19 season.

(Hey, that gives Greg Gumbel plenty of time to learn Miller’s name!)

Miller, who has led the Flyers to 62 wins in his first three seasons as head coach, said he’s excited about the program’s future:

“It’s a privilege to be the head coach at the University of Dayton. We are thrilled about our future. The University of Dayton has everything it needs to be among the best. We have great fans, a totally committed administration, and the key pieces are in place.”

The financial terms of the extension were not disclosed.
