Lane Kiffin drawing positive reviews from Alabama players

Spring practices have only just begun for the Alabama Crimson Tide, but new offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin has already received some positive reviews from his players.

Wide receiver Amari Cooper praised Kiffin last week, and this week has the likes of center Ryan Kelly and tight end Brian Vogler complimenting their coordinator.

Here’s Kelly on how well Kiffin connects with the players:

“I haven’t known him that long, but seeing him on the field and being with him in the meeting rooms, he brings a lot to the offense. Just a great mind with the offensive unit. He really connects well with the players. I’m really looking forward to the rest of the spring with him.”

And here’s Vogler on Kiffin’s demeanor:

“For the most part, he’s pretty calm. Keeps to himself around us. Every now and then if you did something in practice, he’ll make a joke about it. Just try and put you on the spot about it. Other than that, he’s pretty calm, pretty collected.”

So far, so good. We’ll see what happens when the season begins.
