The day has finally arrived, ladies and gentlemen. The good people at Twentieth Century Fox have finally brought us the brand new trailer for the upcoming mutant masterpiece X-Men: Days of Future Past.
When the trailer begins, we see a world that has been absolutely torn apart by war. Of the many battles the mutants have been forced to fight over the years, none of them have ended as catastrophically as this one. At this point, the mutants rest on the edge of extinction. The slightest breeze could send them flying off the edge and out of existence forever.
Now, Professor X and Magneto have come up with a plan to end the war once and for all. They plan to send Wolverine back in time before the war even began and unite the younger versions of themselves; Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr and ensure that the war never even begins.
While this may sound like a simple task, this is much easier said than done. Both Xavier and Lehnsherr couldn’t be farther apart at that particular point and time; however, if Logan cannot accomplish the mission, then many of his friends will be lost in the battle.
In the past, the two sides will have to come together to ward off a new kind of villain, Bolivar Trask. Trask has created a being known as the Sentinels; robots whose sole purpose is to hunt down and destroy mutants.
I think it is safe to say that if Trask’s sentinels are unleashed upon the world, this will not end well for anyone; humans and mutants alike.
Here is a look at the brand new trailer for the latest mutant adventure, X-Men: Days of Future Past.
X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled to be released on May 23, 2014.
