The 2014 World Figure Skating Championships officially kick off on Tuesday, with the pairs short program. While the competition may be without some of the most notable pairs and ice dancing duos, there is plenty of star power with Americans Ashley Wagner, Gracie Gold and Polina Edmunds, who all competed in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.
Without any gold medal winners from Sochi on the women’s side of the tournament, there is a great opportunity for some of the unheralded skaters to burst onto the scene and become stars.
Here is the competition schedule for this week’s world championships (all times Eastern):
Tuesday: Pairs short program (9 p.m.)
Wednesday: Men’s short program (2:45 a.m.)
Wednesday: Pairs free skate (10:30 p.m.)
Thursday: Women’s short program (2:45 a.m.)
Thursday: Short dance (9:50 p.m.)
Friday: Men’s free skate (4 a.m.)
Friday: Free dance (11:30 p.m.)
Saturday: Women’s free skate (4:15 a.m.)
Coverage of the 2014 World Championships will be LIVE on @icenetwork! A recap show will also air on NBC on April 13th from 3-6 p.m. ET!
