This past weekend, Bellator 113 went down in Mulvane, Kansas. The card was headlined by the unification Light Heavyweight title fight between Emanuel Newton and Attila Vegh. The event also featured the opening round of the Lightweight tournament.
According to Nielsen, the average viewership of the Bellator 113 card was 507,000, which is a season low according to the MMAReport. The event reached 871,000 viewers at it’s best, which is down from Bellator 112’s 1 million viewers.
Bellator 112 was headlined by the rubber match between Daniel Straus and Pat Curran, who certainly have a bigger name and drawing power than Vegh and Newton. Regardless, the numbers for Bellator this past weekend are not very good.
Bellator 114 is this Friday, and is headlined by the Middleweight championship bout between reigning champion, Alexander Shlemenko, and tournament winner, Brennan Ward.
