The Boston Celtics acquired guard Jerryd Bayless back in January when they struck a deal with the Memphis Grizzlies, sending veteran guard Courtney Lee to the Grizzlies.

Bayless, who is now with his fifth team, has enjoyed his time in Boston despite their rough season.

Bayless, in a Q&A with Gary Dzen of The Boston Globe, praised his head coach and admitted he would like to stay in Boston beyond this season.

"I heard you praise coach Stevens in a radio interview earlier. When did you first know he knew his stuff? You can see that pretty quickly. There’s things he talks about on other teams, on individual players and their tendencies, on what they’re capable of. He does an amazing job of preparation.Would you like to return to the Celtics next season?I would be happy about that. That would be great. One of the things I said when I got here is I want to find a home somewhere. I’d be very happy staying here."

Bayless is averaging 8.8 points, 2.8 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game.
