Trevill Holcy commits to Miami Hurricanes

The Miami Hurricanes headed a few hours upstate to get their latest commitment for the class of 2015.

Wide receiver Trevill Holcy gave his pledge to the Hurricanes on Tuesday.

The 6’5, 210-pound Holcy attends St. Cloud High School in St. Cloud, Florida.

“The love, since Day 1, that coach Hurlie Brown and Coach [Larry] Scott have showed me, and I’ve even heard from Coach Al Golden a couple of times, has just meant a lot to me,” Holcy told Chris Hays of The Orlando Sentinel, “Especially since they offered me on National Signing Day for the 2014 class. That’s the day when they are mainly supposed to be focused on the seniors and they found time to reach out to me, so that also meant a lot to me.

“I wanted to stay in state and go to a big university and Florida State and Florida weren’t really showing much attention, plus I’ve always been a big Miami fan and so it made my decision a lot easier.”

Holcy, who is not yet ranked as a recruit, also had offers from the Central Florida Knights, Kentucky Wildcats and Memphis Tigers.
