Arizona is one of just two teams who already have stats compiled for the year after they were part of the Sydney series that started the MLB season “Down Under.” Even before the season began, though, Arizona was dealt a devestating blow when they lost ace Patrick Corbin most likely for the entire season.
Even with Corbin leading the rotation, Arizona struggled last year with their starters finishing the season 46-59 with a combined ERA of 4.13 which ranked 19th among the 30 MLB teams. Without Corbin, the D-Backs rotation is thinned out pretty quickly and they’ll be really relying on Trevor Cahill to have a bounceback year and Bronson Arroyo to continue his steady contributions.
In this slideshow, we’ll look at the projected Arizona starters, their 2013 stats and a quick preview of what to expect from a fantasy perspective this coming season.
