Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly will not have surgery to fight cancer as was originally planned, according to the Buffalo Bills legend’s wife (h/t Chris Littman of SportingNews.com).
From Jill Kelly’s Facebook page:
Plans and protocol have changed —but no plan and purpose of God’s can be thwarted!
This we KNOW to be true.
Jim was set to have surgery Thursday to treat oral cancer.
Kelly spent his entire 11-year NFL career with the Bills and is the franchise leader in QB wins, completions, attempts, passing yards, touchdowns and passer rating. He led them to four consecutive Super Bowl appearances from 1990 to ’93.
