Luke Barnatt vs Sean Strickland set for UFC Fight Night 41

The UFC is heading to Berlin, and slowly but surely the card is starting to fill up with intriguing fights. Yesterday, the UFC announced that undefeated Middleweights, Sean Strickland and Luke Barnatt, will face off on May 31st at UFC Fight Night 41.

UFC News broke the announcement on Twitter:

The UFC also got quotes from the two men who are ready to throw down in May:

Barnatt: ‘May 31st, Berlin, Germany, two undefeated middleweights go to war. When I get the knockout and end this young man’s dream, at least he can take warmth in the fact he has a stamp on his passport and can enjoy the beautiful city of Berlin. I’m ready.’

Strickland: ‘From what I have seen from Luke, I predict this is going to be a long war between two talented fighters. I expect us to both take risks and try to finish the fight. In the end I will come out on top and will remain undefeated.’

Both Barnatt and Strickland are coming off impressive victories in the last few weeks. At UFC Fight Night 37 in London, Barnatt TKO’ed Mats Nilsson to improve his UFC record to 3-0 and his overall record to 8-0. Strickland made his UFC debut a week later at UFC 171, when he took on TUF 17 cast member, Bubba McDaniel. In the end, Strickland got the rear naked choke finish late in the first round.
