NFL Rumors: Miami Dolphins trying to trade Mike Wallace

A few weeks back, rumors suggested the Miami Dolphins were attempting to trade wide receiver Mike Wallace.

The Dolphins denied such, but it appears the team has renewed interest in moving the wideout according to CBS’ Jason La Canfora.

Fins have renewed attempts to trade WR Mike Wallace during the league meetings. Teams doing homework on him. Contract makes it a tough trade

While the the Dolphins ‘might be trying’, being successful in doing so is a completely different story.

Wallace hasn’t exactly performed up to expectations and signed a $60 million dollar contract just over a year ago. Add in that his base salary for the upcoming season is an absurd $15 million and Miami would probably struggle to give him away.

Given all of that, there’s almost no way the Dolphins will be able to move Wallace – no matter if they actually want to or not.

If teams were reluctant to make a move for DeSean Jackson, making a move on Wallace is all but out of the question.
