The Vancouver Canucks are on the road taking on the Minnesota Wild from the Xcel Energy Center. Things aren’t going well for Canucks left wing Alex Burrows. He was just crossing the redline and dumping the puck into the zone when right winger Nino Niederreiter came across and blindsided him.

Niederreiter comes in low and leans in with his shoulder dropping Burrows mid ice. It is also important to note that Niederreiter’s skates never left the ice.

It is a violent hit and you can see Burrows’ helmet almost slide off his head to the left. Burrows left the ice but eventually returned.
